Calling any Railway Mail Clerks…

Following a remarkably successful restoration project of what may be the only Railway Mail car left in Canada, the Van Fraser chapter of the Heritage Club has asked for our help in collecting any stories and experiences from former Railway Mail Clerks. The information collected on the Railway Mail Service has primarily come from old Canada Post publications. As the last Railway Mail Service ended in 1971, Canada Post employees who worked in this branch of the service are getting on in years, and now would be the time to collect those stories. If you were a Railway Mail Clerk and wouldn’t mind sharing information about your service, the Van Fraser chapter would love to hear from you. Reach out to our president, Claude Bruneau (president@bytownchapter.com) and he’ll connect you with the some great people who’d love to chat.
