If you were lucky enough to be part of the group, or saw the video evidence, then you know last year’s holiday outing to Sucrerie de la Montagne was super fun and an incredible evening! Not to be outdone this year we’ve decided to… go back to the same venue!
This destination will transport you back to the days of country-style festive gatherings. We’ll once again experience a horse drawn sleigh ride and try our hand at axe throwing. We’ll enjoy wonderful holiday food cooked from recipes handed down through generations. And we’ll delight in marvelous entertainment – some by our own members! All in an atmosphere that faithfully recreates local tradition.
This event is limited to 56 participants (members only at this time) and is expected to sell out immediately. If you are interested in attending please send an email, immediately, to Lise Jette (treasurer@bytownchapter.com) and follow with your payment – your spot is not reserved until your payment is received. Transportation for this event, as well as a few door prizes, are sponsored by your chapter. Cost is $75 per person.
If there are spots available, we will open up the registration to non-members at a later date.
Date: Saturday, December 15
Schedule: 3:45 p.m. – bus leaves Canada Post Head Office
5:15 p.m. – arrive at Sucrerie de la Montagne
11:00 p.m. – estimated time of return to Canada Post

- homemade meat pie
- mashed potatoes
- traditional meatball stew
- sugar pie and golden pancakes
