History

Canada Post established the Heritage Club in 1989 as a means of recognizing the contributions made by employees, through a formal program to commemorate long service and retirement. Since 1999, the club has grown to some 25,000 members. Heritage Club comprises long-service and retired employees of Canada Post who are members of one of the more than 25 chapters of the club across Canada. The Heritage Club aims to develop pride among its members, celebrating the best from the past, sharing the achievements of the present and creating opportunities for the future.

Members of the club participate in many rewarding social and community activities, such as supporting the company’s Letters to Santa Program and the Canada Post Community Foundation. Chapter members participate in many other worthwhile fundraising and volunteer activities. They contribute thousands of hours to bettering their communities — delivering (even after retirement!) a brighter future for all Canadians.

The club also provides the opportunity to maintain contact with colleagues before and after retirement, and preserving the shared “work” camaraderie and friendship.
