By-Town’s 2012/13 Scholarship announced – Elliot Rodger

Congratulations to Elliot Rodger, who will receive a $500 scholarship from the By-Town Chapter. Elliot is the grandson of By-Town member Raj Mediratta.

Elliot has graduated from White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville and is looking forward to beginning his post-secondary education at the University of Guelph this fall. He will be pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Hotel and Food Administration, tying together his interest in business and the hospitality industry.

Dedicated to the Oakville Soccer Club as a referee as well as a regular volunteer, Elliot also currently works at COBS Bread, a local bakery. However, he has been bitten by the travel bug and looks forward to someday exploring all corners of the world. He hopes to translate his passion about new places, communities and cultures into a vision he can share with visitors as he moves into the hotel and food industry.

Excited to start this new chapter in his life, Elliot thanks the Heritage Club’s By-Town Chapter for the Scholarship Award and supporting him in that dream.
