Skaters and skiers, read on…
Skaters: as this message is drafted, the skating season in Ottawa looks bleak. But if the weather turns colder and the canal ice recovers, we may schedule an afternoon skate, possibly followed by hot chocolate somewhere nearby. This event will likely happen with very short notice, depending on weather and ice conditions, so stay tuned.
Skiers: so far, the snow conditions at local ski hills have been fantastic. I often ski first tracks (9:30) at Vorlage in Wakefield, Quebec, on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday – usually just for an hour or two. If anyone would like to join me at any time, please contact me in advance.
