Some 56 people attended this special joint event with the Retired Engineers from Canada Post. The event began with a cocktail hour, where guests mingled and got caught up, then followed with a delicious buffet lunch. Those who had time lingered over coffee until nearly 2 p.m.
During the event, By-Town president Bob Hughes presented two cheques on behalf of the Chapter: $500 to Keegan Rowe, the recipient of the Chapter’s 2011/12 scholarship award, and $2,000 to Tim McGurrin for Canada Post’s Foundation for Mental Health.
Duncan McIver, a founding member of the Heritage Club’s Yellowhead Chapter in Saskatoon travelled the farthest to join us for this lunch.
By applause, everyone agreed that they had a great time and would come out to another joint lunch function in the spring of 2012. Watch this site for details of a repeat event around May!
