Our September luncheon, attended by more than 30 people, was marked by an important and generous cheque presentation to the chapter’s cause of choice, an official welcome to a new member, and much chatter and laughter as members caught up after summer holidays.
On behalf of the Foundation for Mental Health, Canada Post’s Tim McGurrin was presented with a cheque for $1,500 for this cause. This amount was raised at the recent, spectacular golf tournament in Kemptville, and the cheque was the first installment to the chapter’s 2010 cause of choice.
