By-Town’s 3rd Annual Golf Tournament a resounding success!

More than 60 people turned out early in August to spend a beautiful sunny afternoon together at the Rideau Glen Golf course in Kemptville.  Long-time members, new retirees and guests alike reported they had great fun!

Congratulations to Lise Jette for organizing another spectacular event.  Special thanks and appreciation also go to Bernie and Edna Dixon, Penny Glover, Ed and Jean Miller, Trish Edwards, and Val Roberts and other members of the chapter’s social committee.  Canada Post’s Nicole Lalonde, Claude Bruneau and Bernice Martin-Delcorde also lent a hand, and together everyone contributed to the success of the tournament.

After a sumptuous barbeque of chicken and ribs, an auction was held, led by John Caines, and proceeds went to the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health.  Big-hearted members and guests donated a whopping $1,500, which will be matched by Canada Post, bringing the total to an ASTOUNDING $3,000 raised during a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable day!

The following companies and individuals contributed generously to the many prizes given away and to auction items.  The By-Town Chapter thanks each deeply for their ongoing support.
